For more than 30 years, Heart & Crown has hosted Ottawa's most memorable gatherings—from boardroom lunches to wedding receptions, retirement parties to celebrations of life. With four distinct venues across the city, a variety of patios, and rooms that range from intimate snugs to full pub buyouts for 400+, we have a space to match every occasion. Our front and back of house team handles food, drink, AV, and every detail in between.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum spend, or do you charge a room fee?
Most of our spaces operate on a food-and-beverage minimum based on date, time, and room. Smaller groups can typically book on-consumption (you only pay for what's ordered).
Do you provide AV, music, or live entertainment?
Every location has a sound system and microphones. ByWard rooms have full stages. We can also book DJs, trad bands, or Celtic duos from our regular roster.
What food and beverage packages do you offer?
Plated dinners, family-style menus, cocktail receptions, buffet, and Irish-pub classics. Drink options range from cash bar to host bar to all-inclusive open bar packages.
Can you handle dietary restrictions and allergies?
Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergy-friendly menus are available—share the details with our events team in advance.
Can I bring outside catering or my own cake?
All food and drink is provided by Heart & Crown with one exception: celebration cakes are welcome (a small plating fee may apply). Outside alcohol is not permitted due to health, safety, and liquor regulations.
What's your cancellation and deposit policy?
No deposit is required to hold your booking. We ask for at least 7 business days' notice if you need to cancel. If Event Menu items have been ordered and you cancel within 3 days of your event, payment will be required for the platters and canapés ordered.
Can I decorate the space?
Yes—most freestanding décor, signage, centrepieces and balloon arrangements are welcome. We just ask no nails, staples, or confetti.
Are minors allowed?
Yes. We stop accepting minors at 9:00 pm and all minors must be out of the pub by 10:00 pm.
How do I book and what happens next?
Submit the inquiry form below. Our events team replies within one business day with availability, package options, and a quote. From there, we tour, confirm, and start planning.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are welcome on the patio. Pets are not allowed indoors unless they are registered service animals.
